If there’s one thing being proved this awards season, it’s that “Nomadland” transcends geography, genders, and race by winning for either Best Picture or Best Director and in a lot of cases, both. The Latino Entertainment Journalists Association was one of those groups that awarded it both. “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and “Soul” were big winners, taking home three awards apiece. “Minari” and “One Night In Miami” both took home two.
