Tuesday Releases: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey & Zero Dark Thirty

MARCH 19TH, 2013 BACHELORETTE // If not for the impressive showing from the leading ladies, “Bachelorette” would be extremely lacking. The humor is female vulgarity at its finest, with an honesty of how manipulative ladies can be, even with their closest “friends”. There’s definitely a lot of inside humor or real-life experiences at play in the film, as the allusions to past events seem … Read More Tuesday Releases: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey & Zero Dark Thirty

Theatrical Releases: Django Unchained & Les Misérables

DJANGO UNCHAINED || Had “Django Unchained” followed the story set in its marketing and, with that, followed a much shorter run-time, Tarantino’s latest film could have been much closer to perfection. Instead, it remains an above-average exploitation film with above-average performances, that just cannot seem to tell its story properly. “Django” starts off impeccably, introducing the main characters, Django (Jamie Foxx) and Dr. Schultz, … Read More Theatrical Releases: Django Unchained & Les Misérables
