The 79th Annual Golden Globe Awards will look a bit different this year. After the Hollywood Foreign Press Association came under fire for lack of diversity in the organization, NBC decided against airing the telecast, with many other media groups following suit. However, the HFPA has pushed forward and will continue to hold the ceremony in some fashion which has yet to be disclosed. Snoop Dogg and the HFPA president Helen Hoehne were on hand to announce the nominees for this year’s awards, who have also been rumored to be discussing a boycott of the ceremony. However the ceremony is held, it is set to occur on January 9th in the new year.

Heading the nominees in the feature film portion, with the most nominations, were Oscar hopefuls “The Power of the Dog” and “Belfast,” each with seven nominations. “Don’t Look Up,” “King Richard,” “Licorice Pizza,” and “West Side Story” all came in with the next closest amount of four nominations each. On the television side, “Succession” was the nominee leader with five nominations, while Apple TV’s “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show” both came in with four nominations each. Jessica Chastain was the only actor to be nominated in both a film category and television category for “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” and “Scenes from a Marriage” respectively.
