An international title took the top spot at the Boston Society Of Film Critics Awards, the first time that’s happened since 1985. That year, Best Picture went to Akira Kurosawa’s “Ran.” This year, the Japanese title “Drive My Car” won Best Picture, along with Director, Actor, and Screenplay. In these years where a Non-English film wins, they flop the Non-English category to Best English Language Film, which went to the overall favorite right now, “The Power of the Dog.”
