Looking at the Dublin Film Critics Circle’s top 10, you can see that a majority of the films are technically from last year’s Oscar cycle, like “Promising Young Woman,” “The Father,” and “Nomadland.” That being said, the winners are almost all from this year’s cycle, with “The Power of the Dog” and Jane Campion taking the top prizes, along with Benedict Cumberbatch. Frances McDormand technically won for her role in “Nomadland,” but they lumped in her performance from “The Tragedy of Macbeth” as well.
