“The Power of the Dog” claims another Best Picture prize, this time from Florida Film Critics Circle. Jane Campion also grabbed another Best Director and Adapted Screenplay award. The Florida Film Critics Circle also lifted up “Annette,” which hasn’t been mentioned much this awards season, even awarding Adam Driver the Best Actor award for his role in the film.

Florida Film Critics Circle

The Florida Film Critics Circle is an organization of 25 writers from Florida-based print and online publications. Founded in 1996, the FFCC strives to recognize outstanding work in film, further the cause of good movies, and maintain the highest level of professionalism among film critics in Florida. Allison Hazlett of FlickDirect has served as chair of the organization since the beginning of 2020.
