ABOUT THE Minnesota Film Critics Alliance
Founded in 2020, the Minnesota Film Critics Alliance is a group of writers, video producers and podcasters whose work centers around movies. Members of the MNFCA are located throughout the state, from the shores of Lake Superior, to the western border of North Dakota, and of course, the Twin Cities.
In 2021, the MNFCA announced its first award honors, where “Nomadland” won Best Picture. In addition to honoring some of the best films of the year on an annual basis, the opinions of MNFCA members are shared every two weeks in the Alliance Lately segment.
