DAY 16

OF 48

Best MOTION PICTURE OF THE YEAR
Produced by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Frances McDormand,

Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay)
Screenplay by Sarah Polley

“Women Talking” is the most remarkable film about Mennonite women debating in a barn ever made. That sounds like a joke, but Sarah Polley truly takes what feels like a play and produces a captivating, well-spoken film about women deciding their futures. Inspired by real-life events, the fact that this story took place in 2010 keeps me up at night.
